Best-selling children's author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm.

A spokesman for the company stated: "After careful consideration, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."

Reports indicate that the decision was made after an inquiry regarding reports of inappropriate behaviour towards young women.

The firm declined to specify the motivations for this action, adding: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."

A Prolific Publishing History

Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, having sold over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in 55 languages.

His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

Some of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.

He has published more than 40 books altogether, which features a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins this past October.

Television and Literature

His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
